Christopher Curtis Page, age 28 of Deerfield Beach, Florida, passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2013 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Christopher was born May 16, 1985 in Youngstown, Ohio, the son of Dennis and Nora (McGiffin) Page and Chip Powell. Chris grew up in Berlin Center and graduated from Berlin Western Reserve High School in 2003. Christopher was an accomplished sailor and with his love of the water, he immediately enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard on October 28, 2003. Over the past ten years, he has served his country with two tours in Iraq and missions in more than 29 countries around the world. He was most recently assigned to United States Coast Tactical Law Enforcement Team South, Detachment 405. Christopher earned more than 19 medals and ribbons during his military career. His awards include the Navy & Marine Corps Achievement Medal, two Coast Guard Achievement Medals, a Commandant's Letter of Commendation, the National Defense Service Medal and the Global War on Terrorism Medal. Christopher was also an accomplished snow skier and a certified snow ski instructor. He loved cars, boats and motorcycles. He was a member of the Church by the Glades in Florida. His greatest love was his wife Alana, whom he married on January 24, 2009, his daughter Madison and his family. Memories of Chris will be carried on by his loving wife, Alana D. (Cloete) Page of Deerfield Beach, FL, his daughter, Madison J. Page, at home, his parents, Nora and Dennis Page of Newton Falls, OH, his sisters and their husbands, Bridget and Eddie Lambert of Cleveland, OH, Melissa and Fred Russo of Canfield, OH, his brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Christine Powell of IL, and his brother and sister-in-law, Dr. Michael and Deanna Page of Ankeny, Iowa.
